University of Chester Chapel

Heritage Open Day: The University Chapel was built between 1844 and 1847. The decorative stonework, the carved interior woodwork, the organ case and some of the stained glass were produced by the students themselves. An explanatory leaflet is available in the chapel. This is also the best starting point for a walk through the University campus which is normally restricted. There will be maps of the campus available outside the Chapel.
