Durham Castle
Heritage Open Day: This Grade I listed building dates from 1072 and was the residence of the Prince Bishops until 1832. It now houses University College. Durham Castle will be offering free tours on Friday 11th September. In addition, on Sunday 13th September the Castle will be open for visitors to explore of their own accord, with free admission and staff on hand to answer any questions and offer wisdom.
