St Mary the Virgin Church

Heritage Open Day: This early 14th century medieval church is amongst Hull's oldest churches having received its licence in 1333. The Triple Crown symbol of the city is set in stained glass dated C 1400. The church also possesses an Elizabethan Communion Table. The Church has been modified in various ways over the centuries, most notably the installation of a stone vaulted walkway into the tower in 1863, a move which neatly got round proposals to pull the tower down in order to widen Low
