Cambray Baptist Church

Heritage Open Day: Built in 1853, this Grade 2 listed building is a wonderfully preserved Baptist chapel of that era, with impressive architecture and a large balcony served by twin staircases. The pews in the gallery are original. There is an elevated pulpit from which the world famous Charles Spurgeon preached on the opening day in 1855. The majestic pipe organ is one of the finest working regularly used organs left in Cheltenham, and several mini recitals will be given during the open days.
