Cheltenham College
Heritage Open Day: Founded in 1841, Cheltenham College was the first of the great Victorian boarding schools. From 9-12 in the morning the magnificent gothic chapel will be open and there will be tours of the main 1843 building, including the college library and theatre. The last tour will leave Chapel at about 11.30. At 9.15, Nick Nelson, Head of History of Art at the College, will give a short talk in Chapel on the architecture of the building.
