The Wheatsheaf Inn Leckhampton
Heritage Open Day: Small display by Leckhampton Local History Society telling of the story of The Leckhampton Riots 1902 and 1906. The rioters, who fought for the rights to walk over the hill, held their meetings in the original pub, rebuilt in 1935. Includes letters from Walter Ballinger, during WWI, “I’m off to fight for what I’m not allowed to walk over.”
