Heritage Open Day: Our volunteers have rescued and restored 25 old stationary steam engines, some of which once drove the cotton mills of Northern England. We have a wide range of many different types of steam engine. Some are now unique; the only engine of this type which survives anywhere in the world! Our oldest engine is now over 170 years old.
