St Lawrence's Church

Heritage Open Day: Anglican Parish Church built on new site 1744-46, 'the outstanding 18th century church in the country'. Soaring steeple above octagonal lantern and swauare belfry, recalling church of St Martin-in-the-Fields; semi circular Tuscan portico and ragstone body with remarkable neo classical basilican interior painted with trompe l'oeil classical decoration.
