Morecambe Winter Gardens Heritage Day
Heritage Open Day: The Winter Gardens theatre is a Grade II* listed building, one of the last surviving Music Halls. It was closed in 1977, and the ' Friends of the Winter Gardens' were formed in 1986 to protect the theatre from demolition. In February 2006, The Friends formed a charitable trust, The Morecambe Winter Gardens Preservation Trust Limited, as an appropriate vehicle to purchase the theatre.
