NCI Rossall Point

Heritage Open Day: New observation tower, built next to the old Coast Guard station. National Coastwatch Institution, Rossall Point, set up by volunteers in 2008 to keep watch over ever shifting sands and the fast tides of Morecambe Bay. Assessed annually and supporting SAR partners, when required. See the work the volunteers carry out every day of the year and hear about their involvement with the local RNLI and HM Coast Guard. Great views across to the Lake District - weather permitting !! -
