St John the Evangelist Church
Heritage Open Day: The church was built in the 1830s at the very beginning of Victoria's reign for the mining community that had grown in that era. There is an interesting east window from the period, but also recent stained glass which depicts the past mining and industrial heritage and the present day National Forest era. The church has recently been re-slated and the stonework re-pointed so is looking good!
