Flodden Battlefield Walk
Heritage Open Day: This event is a guided walk over the Battlefield of Flodden where in 1513 King James IV of Scotland became the last reigning monarch to die in battle in the British Isles. The walk will be led by a local historian and qualified member of the Guild of Battlefield Guides. The walk is about 2 miles long and covers the ground where the conflict took place including the English and Scottish battle lines.
