Quaker Meeting House
Heritage Open Day: 39 Carter Street is the Dwelling House belonging to the Uttoxeter and Burton Local Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). It is undergoing restoration and is not open to the public. The Meeting House behind it was registered as a place of worship in 1706. It is little changed since it was built, having an upper gallery and containing furniture from the 18th century. Behind it is the Burial Ground, established in 1700, with 60 recorded burials.
