Bury St Edmunds Film Society 'Akenfield'
Heritage Open Day: Bury Film Society offers FREE ADMISSION to the film classic Akenfield at the Hunter Club, introduced by the book’s author RONALD BLYTH. Using an original rare DVD (1974), this tells the story of life in a Suffolk village at the close of the nineteenth century. Peter Hall directed a cast all of whom were Suffolk villagers. Over 16’s only.
