Historic Walk Down West Street

Heritage Open Day: West Street is one of Dorking's most historic streets with a fine mix of local businesses and some traditional shopfronts. It is particularly noted for its antique shops. It houses the Dorking museum and the recently restored home of William Mullins, a shoe maker who emigrated to America in the Mayflower. For Heritage Open Days several of the shops will have displays in their windows illustrating the history of the building or their business, giving a flavour of the arch
