St Mary the Virgin Church, Holmbury St Mary

Heritage Open Day: Grade I listed church, consecrated in 1879. Designed and given to the village by George Edmund Street, the eminent Victorian ecclesiastical architect, who had come to live in the village. The stained glass windows, largely designed by Street, depict Christ's life from the Annunciation, in the west window, to his death on the cross, in the east window. The decorative floor tiles in the chancel are all to Street's design and were made by Craven Dunill at Ironbridge.
