Dunston Coal Staiths: An exhibition by Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen
Heritage Open Day: Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen is best known for her 1983 book 'Byker', a portrait of the terraced Newcastle community which was relocated by the Byker Wall. Sirkka is a founding member of the Amber Film and Photography Collective who also established the Side Photographic Gallery in 1977. Her photography and Amber's films are inscribed in UNESCO UK Memory of the World Register as being of outstanding national value and importance to the United Kingdom. This exhibiti
