Rising Sun Country Park Heritage Exhibition

Heritage Open Day: The park is open to all throughout the HODs weekend. Come see the Rising Sun Heritage Exhibition and discover the rich history of the Countryside Centre and surrounding area. View the exhibition giving the rich history of the Rising Sun Country Park including its 200 year coal mining heritage with the Rising Sun Pit, one of Europe's largest pits, which closed in 1969.
