Salvation Army Citadel (Scotch Church)

Heritage Open Day: Non-Conformist church, now Salvation Army Citadel. 1811 by John Dobson for Secessionist Church. Historical note, built for a church established 1759 by the Rev Joseph Wilkinson, known as the Scotch Church because by deed the Minister had to be a licentiate of the Church of Scotland. There will be a slide show at 30 minute intervals with a host to share local knowledge and an exhibition to celebrate 137 years of the North Shields Corps and 150 years since the birth of the Salva
