Heritage Open Day: Chedham's Yard is a wonderful example of a way of life, of a rural industry that has now all but disappeared. Owned by five generations of the Chedham family, this wheelwright and blacksmiths forge was a perfectly preserved time capsule when the Trust took it on.
Now, after a successful win in Restoration Village and a Heritage Lottery Fund bid, the yard has been opened to the public once more, revealing a way of life established at the height of the Industrial Revolut
