Princethorpe College
Heritage Open Day: St Mary's Priory, Princethorpe, was the first monastery to be constructed in England following the Reformation. From 1833 until 1966, it was home to a congregation of enclosed Benedictine nuns who ran a boarding school for about sixty girls. This community eventually decided to sell the priory and a new school was started in 1966 by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart who moved their establishment, St Bede's, from Leamington Spa to Princethorpe.
