Coombe Country Park
Heritage Open Day: Coombe Abbey Country Park offers 500 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland, lakeside walks and bird watching all set against the stunning Coombe Abbey. The site is steeped in history dating back to 1150 when the Abbey was founded by Cistercian monks. The Abbey is now a hotel. The Craven family lived at Coombe in the 18th century creating the lake and sight lines of the deer park.
The events will concentrate on the 18th century Capability Brown parkland and heritage of the wood
