Skelmanthorpe Textile Heritage Centre

Heritage Open Day: This small, privately owned textile heritage centre comprises a 'one-up one-down' former weaver's cottage. The downstairs family living-quarters have been maintained and furnished as a West Riding weaver's family home would have been c.1900. Upstairs is an authentic hand-loom in working condition, along with fascinating displays and artefacts linked to our textile history. Guides will be present. Visits will last approximately one hour.
