Mompesson House
Heritage Open Day: Mompesson House is the largest and finest house on Chorister's Green, in the Cathedral Close. A Queen Anne townhouse, managed by the National Trust, Mompesson House was used in the filming of Sense and Sensibility in 1995. To mark the 20th anniversary, an exciting new exhibition features costumes from the film, alongside historic Regency accessories and drawings. Connections have been made between the literary Dashwood sisters and the Portman sisters who lived at Mompess
