Good Wives and Warriors will be our resident artists revealing the often hidden stories of the women who have made Sutton House what it is today. From the first woman of the house to some of the women who are part of Sutton House today. Mary Beale was the 1st professional female English painter. Artists Good Wives and Warriors were inspired by Mary's portraits in our Great Chamber to create new portraits behind the paneling of 500 of women's history. Over 8 months the untold stories
