Leith Hill Place - Exhibition - 'Attraction of opposites' by woods worker Mervyn Mewis
This exhibition showcases the work of local artist Mervyn Mewis, whose keen interest in woodlands, trees and music has developed into a passion for woodwork, made from a range of timber from the Surrey Hills landscape. Mervyn creates a wide range of bespoke furniture and traditional musical instruments utilising the natural shape and form of wood such as beech, ash and oak. He also plays traditional music on the instruments he creates, some of which were featured on BBC Countryfile in October 20
