East Pool Mine - Bals and Bal Maidens

Renowned author and leading expert Lyn Mayers will be giving a talk on Bal Maidens, those hardy maids who once worked in all weathers breaking and crushing the ore above ground. We will be joined by the Red RIver Singers, who will be performing well-known mining songs including songs composed by local musician Hilary Coleman using original archival Bal Maiden historical material.
