International Dance Weekend

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of Monkseaton Morris and Folk Dance Club over Bank Holiday weekend, 29th/30th August is a visit from Sabotée Sancerroise , a French team from the Loire valley who were also formed 60 years ago and have very strong links with Monkseaton. They perform the intricate bourrée dances of their region, in heavy wooden clogs and accompanied by their musicians playing the unique multi-stringed hurdy-gurdy instrument.Also joining us are our friends from Westminster Morri
