Sacred Fire: Monody and the Transformation of Italian Sacred Music

Soprano Andrea Eklund and Early Music ensemble Voces Sanctorum will present some of the most beautiful and rarely-performed songs of the 17th Century, illuminating the influence secular music had on the sacred, and bringing to life these dramatic and hugely moving gems of the Early Baroque.
