The Leeds and Liverpool Canal had a dramatic effect on the life and development of the former rural area, now the Borough of Pendle. This talk centres on the section of the canal from Skipton to Burnley which was finally completed in 1796 and includes the Foulridge Tunnel and the flight of 7 locks at Barrowford.
