The thoughts of legendary mountaineer Doug Scott CBE will be returning to the scene of his greatest triumph when he narrates a new musical based on Wirral climbing legends George Mallory and Sandy Irvine.
In 1975, Scott, with partner Dougal Haston, followed in Mallory and Irvine's footsteps to become the first Britons to conquer Mount Everest.
Doug will recount the story of the doomed 1924 expedition as part of The Heswall Arts Festival in a special preview of Ice Picks and Violet
