'The British Army: Its Making and Where Now?'
A talk by Allan Mallinson - a soldier turned writer who is one of Britain's foremost military historians and defence experts. He has written a series of fictional novels, a non-fiction history of the British Army from the 17th to the 21st century, and is a main contributor to The Times on Saturday's 'Military Matters' section. His 2009 book, 'The Making of the British Army' was one of Jeremy Paxman's books of the year.
Doors open 6.45 pm, talk starts 7.30pm. Tickets £15 each or two for £25 available from ABF The Soldiers' Charity South West.
