'The British Army: Its Making and Where Now?'
A talk by Allan Mallinson - a soldier turned writer who is one of Britain's foremost military historians and defence experts. He has written a series of fictional novels, a non-fiction history of the British Army from the 17th to the 21st century, and is a main contributor to The Times on Saturday's 'Military Matters' section. His 2009 book, 'The Making of the British Army' was one of Jeremy Paxman's books of the year.
