Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
This much-anticipated annual event is the high point of the choir's Christmas. The service follows the well-known format that we hear each year from King's College Chapel, Cambridge with traditional readings and carols and choir-only items such as Rutter's Sans Day Carol and Richard Rodney Bennet's arrangement of I saw Three Ships. Sung in the warm glow of festive candellight, the service starts at 6.30 pm but it is advisable to be there early.
