Going For Gold – 2012 Tour
Pembrokeshire’s favourite musical Olympians sprint into the Torch - meaty thighs straining inside overstretched lycra and accompanied by a faint whiff of embrocation to deliver a challenge to all comers, so abandon yourself to their infectious blend of stomping skiffle, witty original songs and breathtaking five part harmony. Yes, there will be a new movie. Yes, there will be new songs. Yes, there will be horrendously bad gags. Yes, all your favourite Preseli Pete songs will included and yes, you will leave with a grin bigger than the Greek budget deficit. Book early and you might get to hold the stopwatch! more

Chris Packham - Goes Totally Wild
First and foremost an impassioned naturalist, the compelling and charismatic wildlife TV presenter Chris Packham is also the natural world’s equivalent of a photo-journalist. It was solely a passion for wildlife that led Chris to a life on the small screen. After graduating, he met a wildlife filmmaker, who took him under his wing and trained him as a cameraman. Years later he joined an up and coming children’s BBC programme called The Really Wild Show which went on to become a BAFTA winning series for seven or eight years. more

Bankrolled by Jacob, the ebullient local timber merchant, and inspired by Anna, the girl sent to help him make moving pictures of their village, he stumbles on a revolutionary way of story-telling. Forty years on, Motl – now a famed American film director – looks back on his early life and confronts the cost of fulfilling his dreams. more

Welsh Sinfonia
The Ones You Love Leader Robin Stowell Biber Battalia á10 Bach Concerto for Two Violins Britten Simple Symphony Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings The “absolutely thrilling” Welsh Sinfonia chamber orchestra makes a welcome return with a string programme especially put together for a perfect Valentine’s Day musical experience. All the works are among the best known and loved of their period, but perhaps one may be a little less so; Biber’s Battalia for 10 strings sounds positively avant garde, although it was written in 1673. Its second movement for instance must have been completely shocking at the time – the simultaneous rendering of eight folk songs in different keys and time signatures to illustrate drunken soldiers! more

Goat Street Runners
Lighthouse Theatre Limited presents Goat Street Runners A new play by Adrian Metcalfe On February 19th 1941, the Luftwaffe began a concerted three day attack on Swansea, destroying 41 acres of the old mediaeval centre. ‘The Three Nights Blitz’ claimed over 200 lives and marked the most traumatic period in the "ugly, lovely town’s" chequered history. As in towns all over Britain, its survival depended on the gallant work of the Air Raid personnel, the Home Guard, and everyday people just doing their bit. Following its successful run in Swansea last year, this drama reveals the spirit, bravery and unfailing humour of the people of the Second World War. more

Every event on WhereCanWeGo has been added by the organisers themselves, so you get a really good feel for what events are about.
If you're organising a public event, you can promote it for FREE by registering here ~ it works so well.
Don't take our word. See what our organisers say:
"Our event was a success due in no small part to your inclusion of it and the fact that yours was the first entry in an internet search for the title of the exhibition. The days of chasing after printed media coverage are over. Where Can We Go gave us excellent coverage and and we would be happy to recommend your service to organisations large and small." - Jock, Herald Events.
"Our family fun day this year was the best ever and a great deal of that success was from a mention on WhereCanWeGo.com. We will definitely be using it for all future events." - Lee Mill Community Association.
