Coal Dust Mandala - Jonathan Anderson
For his exhibition at Oriel Myrddin Gallery, Jonathan Anderson is showing a series of works which he calls Coal Dust Mandalas. The term is both descriptive and mysterious. Each small work is produced using layers of coal dust on grounds of found material such as plywood, cardboard and sandpaper. more

Coal is made from ancient carbon deposit; it could be seen to represent both our beginning, and ultimately our end. Additionally in the context of South Wales, it is loaded with socio-political meaning and symbolism. Nick Page will be the headliner in May’s Comedy Club. He got into comedy for a bet, he’s still not sure if he’s won. He turned professional 4 months after his first open mic appearance, helped by working with Steve Coogan’s ’Baby Cow’ production company and an approach from the BBC who needed someone with a knowledge of property and a bit of life for a new.. more

Drive a Steam Engine
The Gwili Railway Driver Experience events are intended to give our participants an exciting, full day out with breakfast and lunch included. Our aim is to offer an insight into how a branch line railway operated in the 1950’s, this may include the experience of driving a steam locomotive, firing it, and helping the guard and signalman in their duties.
