Two plays which wrestle with the riddles of war, performed by talented Richmond School students. Flare Path finds an RAF bomber pilot in an emotional conflict as unpredictable as the war in the skies. Arturo Ui is a witty parable of the rise of Hitler, recast by Brecht as a Chicago gangster’s takeover of the city’s greengrocery trade. more

Yorkshire-born cellist Jonathan Dormand studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and has won numerous awards. He has performed as both soloist and chamber musician in Europe, Japan, Canada and the USA. Here he contrasts the first Bach Suite with Hindemith’s breathtaking Sonata and the suite of Catalan-style dances by Cassadó. more
