Knighton and District Rotary Club has persuaded the internationally renowned Treorchy Male Choir to support their Charity Concert which will be held in the Community Centre on Saturday 26th May. Ysgol Theatr Maldwyn - Nia Ben Aur
Nia Ben Aur was first performed at the National Eisteddfod in Carmarthen in 1974. It was an important milestone for a number of reasons. This was the first Rock Opera to be written in Welsh and is based on the story of Osian, the Prince of Erin, who falls in love with Nia Ben Aur (Nia of the Golden Hair) from the land of Tir Na n’Og, the land of eternal youth and eternal life. more
