Tudor Sugarcraft exhibition
Exhibition of Tudor Sugarcraft on loan from Fairfax House Museum, York, in the recently restored banqueting chamber of the Tudor Turret House at Sheffield Manor Lodge. The display features a number of sugar constructions including a unique model of St Paul’s, which recreates the design for a banquet hosted by cardinal Wolsey for Henry VIII. The Leylands - Open Garden for NGS
A 2-acre country garden, set on a sloping site at the edge of the Peak District. With family ties from 1947, the garden has been developed by the current owners over a 35 yr period, as a means of accommodating the wide variety of plants, habitats and water systems. Many paths through the plantings provide interest for all. Childrens trails and play equipment. Open:Suns 27 May, 24 June (12-5). more
