The band was established on the 22nd May 1884 in the village of South Elmsall, West Yorkshire. The original bandsmen worked in the local lime kilns, quarries and brick yards with one of the bands’ first engagements playing at Queen Victoria’s Jubilee celebrations. Rydal Penrhos Prep School Chess workshop and Open Afternoon
We’re inviting children who do not already attend Rydal Penrhos Prep School and their parents to the School on Friday 3 February at 3.30pm for a Chess workshop and tournment. The workshop will include coaching for children and their parents before a blitz tournament takes place for the children.
