The band was formed almost 130 years ago through public donations given by the townsfolk of the adjacent villages of Brighouse and Rastrick. The 2010 National Champion Band is proud of its continued success independent of sponsorship. In 2011 the band is undertaking a tour with folk duo The Unthanks which visits Leeds Town Hall on 15 September 2011. more
