20:20 Print Exchange Exhibition
Organised by Manchester’s Hot Bed Press in November 2011, the 20:20 Print Exchange involved 15 national print workshops and their members. Each print workshop was asked to create 25 original 20 x 20 cm limited edition prints on paper. 8 Art House Members took part in the 20:20 Print Exchange: Terry Lister Dionne Swift Linda Harrison Jenny Rowntree June Russell Fiona Wilson Sharon Bainbridge Aidan Moesby Each artist and participating workshop received a box of 20 randomly selected prints from the exchange, a box of their own and one from a twinned workshop. They are showcased at The Art House’s project, Sites in Sight: Art for the Quiet Times, at The Ridings Shopping Centre for the first time. more

Through transit and memory, incomplete recordings of landscapes have been translated into a sequence of prints that intend to conjure the transience and emotion of journeys. This exhibition features a mapping process across a trans-Pennine route, and beyond- toward mountains and sea, in which contemplations of love, motion and beauty are made visible as fragments or extracts.
