Written by Alan Ayckbourn. In 1972 Ayckbourn deliberately set out ‘to write something for fun’, and when Taking Steps toured into the West End critics wrote of ‘a vastly superior farce …packed with beautifully crafted set pieces and line after laugh line(Manchester Evening News) which was ‘ A splendidly inventive piece… the dialogue … highly entertaining.’ Sunday Telegraph. Roland, a hard drinking business-man, is unaware that The Pines, the three-storey house he wants to buy, was once a high-class brothel reputed to be haunted by one of the hostesses, Scarlet Lucy. more

A wide variety of work on display, including watercolours, oil paintings, acrylics, pastels, pencils, woodwork and more. Artists sketch books and premilinary drawings available to look through. Tea and coffee served with a piece of cake, come along to admire the local artists work, perhaps even take one home (a picture - not an artist!) Meet some of the artists and find out about what inspired the pictures. All in all a wonderful way to spend and hour or so. more

We closely base our weekly themes around the Early Years Foundation Goals. We provide pre-planned activities all created to inspire your child to have a go. It features a massive song list including Great Balls of Fire, The Monster Mash, Good Vibrations, Shake, Rattle and Roll, Born to be Wild, All Shook Up and Wipeout: Something for everyone - pathos, comedy and of course so many unforgettable songs. more
