Bagot's Castle, Baginton CV8 3AR

Bagot's Castle is the remains of a 14th century castle in the village of Baginton. Walk around the site and see the remains of the castle. Enjoy a picnic and imagine the events that have taken place here over the last 600 years.
The site also contains the remains of an 18th century summer house, a medieval Saxon village and two medieval fish ponds, which have been restored as a nature habitat, and a former Tank Testing area used in World War II.
Our Education Visitor Centre displays artefacts from excavations in the 1930's and photographs of the history of the site displayed on notice boards. The grounds are beautifully kept with many walks around the site. Picnic benches are placed around the site for you to picnic in one of the popular spots is down by the river Sowe. Children can take part in our trails, with a reward at the end. We also have a teddy bear picnic area with 5 carved teddy bears for the children to sit amongst and have their picnic. We have toilet facilites.
