The Battle Concert to celebrate the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Stamford Bridge
On 16th October at 7.30 pm, the Stamford Bridge Singers will join forces with four other local choirs and a choir from Norway to perform a unique concert to mark the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Stamford Bridge. Stamford Bridge Singers, Pocklington Singers, Chanticleer Singers, Soon Amore and Vilvin will each perform a short programme, then together they will perform ‘The Battle Cantata’, a new work by Choir Director, Stuart Nettleship, based on the poem ‘The Battle of Stamford Bridge’ by
