‘Whats in a Name - Street Names of Sunderland’

Heritage Open Day: A presentation by local historian Stuart Miller on the street names of Sunderland an underused source of historical information about the development of towns and cities. This is related to the successful Heritage Lottery Funded street names project and the popular local history publication drawing upon the enthusiastic help of a large group of volunteers.
