All Saints, Wilden

Heritage Open Day: All Saints, Wilden is a surprise! The small brick-built Victorian church has strong connections with the Arts and Craft movement. The church was commissioned by Alfred Baldwin in 1880. Alfred's wife, Louisa McDonald had three sisters who made notable marriages. Agnes married classical Victorian artist Edward Poynter. Alice married John Lockwood Kipling, their son being Rudyard Kipling. Georgiana married Edward Burne-Jones which is why the church features designs by this
