Kingston Lacy - Summer holiday weaving

Inspired by pictures collected by William John Bankes as he travelled in Egypt learn about the art of weaving. Pop into the laundry on Wednesdays, 11am - 3pm, to have a go and learn about the different materials and dyes that the Egyptians would have used.

This event is inspired by original drawings held as part of the Dorset Archives Trust 'Unlocking the Bankes Archive' project. Booking Not Needed.

A National Trust Event - Start 11:00. End 15:00. Free Entry. This event will be happening in the laundry.
