Family Arts Festival - Four Last Songs
The dying rays of Strausss glorious Four Last Songs have come to symbolise a whole era in romantic music. Tonight Alpesh Chauhan dives deep into that beautiful sound-world, whether the enchanted forest of Hansel and Gretel or the golden summits of Bruckners majestic Third Symphony. Sweet dreams, ominous shadows, and an orchestra drenched in all the colours of the sunset: this is soul music, Austrian style.
