Talk: Twins in Science
TwinsUK is based at King’s College London and
performs important research leading to advances
in medicine and future therapies.
By using twins’ DNA profiles and questionnaire data,
they compare similarities and differences between
identical and non-identical twin pairs to estimate the
importance of genetic and environmental influences
in a wide range of common conditions such as
osteoporosis, arthritis, diabetes and asthma.
