The Society of Strange and Ancient Instruments: Nine Daies Wonder
In 1600, Will Kemp, a shameless self-publicist and actor in Shakespeare’s company, danced from London to Norwich in nine days, entertaining an adoring public en route. One dancer, four musicians and an array of unusual instruments recreate his journey, with raucous dance tunes and more refined music of the age.
